Dancing in the Dark

days of dancing

with blacks, whites, and grays

top hats with

slacks and short sleeve sweaters

jittering bodies

in the blue abyss

lit with one dangling dim light

an orchestra show choir in the background

sings stories with each measure

as the abyss scattered with dancing shadows

turns indigo

and dancing in the dark

are shuffling feet
